     Based on 15th-century Italian artifacts (originally found in Churburg), this set of cuisses and greaves has been optimized for fighters that desire another option for articulated leg armor; one that possesses a better balance of mobility and protection vs weight, while still retaining a functional and appealing form. Although based on Milanese artifacts, the style of cuisse offered here was popular all over Europe during the mid to late 15th century (as the Milanese dominance of the armor export market expanded) and is already suitable for/or can be adjusted to fit many different 15th century kits from other areas.    
The simplistic beauty of the cuisse design includes strengthened stop-ribs and rolled edges, which helps to provide additional protection for the front and sides for your sensitive nether-regions, while increasing overall durability and adding to the unique look of the armor. At the same time, the back of your upper-legs will be generously protected by the articulated steel plates that wrap around three-quarters of your thigh. 
The functionally sized fan-plates on the poleyns ensure a more-than-sufficient degree of protection for your knees, even giving partial-protection to the back of the knee due to their curvature, while allowing for greater mobility due to being smaller, lighter and less prone to becoming entangled.
A central ridge that runs the length of the front of both the poleyns and demi-greaves increases the durability and functionality of the armor, as well as adds to its unique look, and appeal.
